Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige doesn’t believe there’s any need to do a crossover between Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but refused to rule anything out, as he only has so much insight and control over both franchises.
With both juggernaut universes operating under the same Disney branded roof, it’s entirely possible the two may collide one day, but Feige doesn’t think it makes much sense.
Talking to Yahoo Entertainment, Feige said: “If you’d ask me if anything we’re taking about right now was in the realm of possibility 20 years ago, I would’ve said, ‘I don’t think so.’ But I really don’t think so. I don’t think there’s any reason for it.”
The news isn’t the most surprising, as it does seem fairly unnecessary and unrealistic for the true brands to ever cross paths, but while they’re both owned by Disney, never say never.
