Ethan Hawke has joined the cast of Blumhouse’s latest venture into the horror genre, The Black Phone.
The movie will see him reunited with director Scott Derrickson, with the two previously having worked together on another horror movie, Sinister.
The movie will be based on the short story of the same name from Joe Hill’s 20th Century Ghosts collection.
It’s currently unclear what role Hawke has landed, with Blumhouse and parent company Universal currently keeping it under wraps.
Derrickson is also known for directing the Marvel Studios movie, Doctor Strange and was originally slated to direct the sequel before stepping down in January 2020 following creative differences.
