James Gunn has revealed fans will get to see their first look at his upcoming The Suicide Squad movie, during the DC FanDome event this month.
Gunn, who directed the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies, confirmed he’d be taking a glimpse of the movie with him on Twitter earlier today.
The director also revealed the movie was 100% his creation, unlike the original Suicide Squad movie, who’s director David Ayer admitted Warner Bros had completely changed his movie.
“I can confirm #TheSuicideSquad is 100%, zero interference, no-holds-barred ME, &, again, I can’t wait for you guys to get a glimpse of it at #DCFanDome.”
There’s a lot of intrigue surrounding the movie, with many high profile actors cast, such as Idris Elba, Peter Capaldi, John Cena and Nathan Fillion, but no official roles have been announced for them as of yet.
Following the poor critical reception for 2016’s Suicide Squad, fans are hoping Gunn can improve on where the predecessor failed and give us all an entertaining movie.
The movie is set to release and will see Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney reprise their roles from the first film.
