Vincent D’Onofrio Wants to See Charlie Cox Reprise Daredevil Role in MCU

Vincent D’Onofrio hopes to see Charlie Cox reprise his role as Daredevil in a future MCU movie.

D’Onofrio played Wilson Fisk A.K.A Kingpin alongside Cox in the hit Netflix TV series, Daredevil. The show was brought to an abrupt end in 2018 after just three seasons, but with the show taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it isn’t out of the realms of possibility that the characters would appear in a future movie and D’Onofrio hopes to see Cox in the role again.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, the 61-year-old said:

“And I think that if they do a Daredevil film or have a Daredevil in one of their films,I only hope that it’s Charlie, because I believe in him as Daredevil, I loved working with that guy.”

The Kingpin actor went on to talk up Cox’s acting ability and how special he felt it was to work with someone so talented.

“Not just because he’s a great guy, but because he’s a fine actor. A lot of people, I guess they don’t realize because they’re not actors that what it’s like to be on set with somebody that’s good, really good. And it’s a whole different experience than it is when you’re with somebody that’s, eh. Charlie was on it every day. We were together on it all the time, which brings us both up a notch.”

  1. There’s definitely potential there. It’s really a shame what Disney did in killing the Netflix shows. It would be one thing if they’d truly planned to just move them over to Disney +. As best I can tell, they just killed them as a spoilsport “we’re not sharing” move though.

BTW, am I the only one that thinks D’Onofrio looks like too nice a guy to really be Wilson Fisk?
