Suicide Squad #6 Review

Writer: Tom Taylor
Artist: Bruno Redondo

At this point I’m sounding like a broken record, but Tom Taylor absolutely killed it again with his latest issue in his new Suicide Squad run.

The book had the perfect blend of action and comedy and, as always, it left me wanting to read more.

The inclusion of Batman was one I was excited about going in and I wasn’t disappointed! The fight scene between the Dark Knight and the Suicide Squad was pretty awesome and the final showdown between him and Deadshot was pretty epic too.

Deadshot’s decision to leave the Suicide Squad behind felt right and Floyd Lawton deserves to retire from the life of crime to be with his daughter. It’s a shame we know that won’t be happening as it was previously announced Deadshot was going to die during Taylor’s run on Suicide Squad, but it would have been nice damn it!

The dynamic between Batman and Deadshot has always been an interesting one and I really enjoyed the little conversation between the two at the end. Taylor’s work on each and every character continues to be one of the biggest selling points to his work and he consistently gives each character the recognition they deserve.

The run has been a blast so far and long may it continue!

Rating: 4 out of 5.
