While not much is known about Marvel Studios’ plans for the X-Men, Nicholas Hoult is open to reprising his role as Beast once the X-Men appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hoult played Hank McCoy/Beast in several of the later Fox X-Men films and wants to return to the role, despite Marvel Studios acquiring the rights to the mutant gang.
“That was a fun evolution and that’s something that I’m always looking for is how a character changes,” Holt told Variety in a recent interview.

The Disney and Fox merger granted Marvel Studios the rights to the X-Men, Deadpool and the Fantastic Four, but – while a Deadpool movie is in the works – the future of the X-Men and Fantastic Four is currently unclear, with many waiting to see how the two teams are integrated into the MCU.
Despite this, Hoult wants to return as Beast – feeling he wasn’t done exploring the character and seeing where he could take Beast.

“And I think there’s a lot more to explore with that character. So I’d be interested to know where they see it going next.”
