One of the best things about 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home was the mid credits scene that showed the return of J.K. Simmons in one of his most famous roles to date, J. Jonah Jameson.
Simmons first appeared in the role back in 2002’s Spider-Man and was one of the best things throughout Sam Raimi’s trilogy.
In an episode of Couch Surfing on People TV, Simmons revealed he had signed on to reprise his role as the Daily Bugle boss in future Spider-Man movies.
This will come as great news to many fans who were thrilled to see the Spider-Man hating Jameson reveal Peter’s identity to the world at the end of Far From Home and lets us know for certain that Jameson will play a role in the follow up.
Natural progression of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker would see his next steps lead him to working for Jameson at the Daily Bugle – once the small matter of clearing his name is dealt with – and fans will be excited to see how the pairs relationship compares to how Jameson and Tobey Maguire’s Peter Park played out.
