Titans star Currant Walters has admitted he would be down for a Jason Todd spinoff of the DC Universe show.
Walters’ played Todd in a recurring role during the show’s first season, before being promoted to a series regular for the second and while the actor is currently unaware of when filming will begin for Titans’ third season, he told ComicBook.com that he’d be down for a spinoff show which would follow Todd as he became Red Hood.
One of Batman’s most famous storylines is the death of Jason Todd’s Robin at the hands of The Joker. The moment has been credited as one of the most impactful in the Dark Knight’s history, but Todd’s ultimate resurrection decades later saw him step into the role he’s arguably more famous for now than his Robin days.
Todd’s Red Hood is a true anti-hero – one who’s arc would be incredible to watch play out in a live action television show and Walters’ seems to recognize that too.
“Yeah, I mean, that would be pretty cool.”
“I mean, it all depends on what the team thinks and where the Titans writers decide to go.”
Walters went on to say he’d even like to see Todd’s transformation into Red Hood play out in Titans.
“It’d be cool if we even got to the storyline on Titans someday. We’ll definitely see.”
